We are doing what we can to ensure the ranch will be here for generations to come.

Raising feed-efficient cattle

Improving watering systems to eliminate waste

Using rotational grazing practices

Being attentive to the land and cattle are our top priorities on the ranch. We do this by:

sustainability is key

the ranch

We believe that with top genetics in our herd, there is no need for anything artificial to raise high-quality beef.

Antibiotics

Hormone-treated feed

Implanted hormones

Our cattle are born here and raised here, and graze over 30,000 acres of native pasture grass until finished for butcher. Grass-fed cattle stay here to finish, while grain-finished cattle go to one of our feedlot partners who have a talent for feeding beef until it is perfectly marbled and finished.

On our butchered cattle, we NEVER use:

All natural, all the time

the Cattle

A dream from Missouri led Henry Otto Harding to Wyoming, where he started a small cattle operation. Later expanded by his son Elvy and grandson Owen, Harding Ranch is now officially operated by 4th generation Jerry, his wife Wendy, and their sons Jerrod and Kiel.

Our family’s ranching history dates all the way back to 1916.

In 2020, Jerry, Jerrod, and Kiel sold their ownership of H&K to focus on expanding Harding Ranch into a larger cow-calf operation and retail beef business.

Elvy also co-founded Harding & Kirkbride Livestock of Meriden, Wyoming in 1924 - which is still in operation today.

The generations in our family have learned from over 100 years of trials and tribulations, and the wealth of knowledge earned allows us to do things the right way to bring you the highest quality beef around.

The Harding Ranch continues to step up to ensure local anti-hunger organizations have access to fresh protein...

- First Lady of Wyoming, Jennie Gordon

As a producer myself, my vision for the Wyoming Hunger Initiative was to encompass a component of agriculture that would be part of the solution to food insecurity in our state. …Fresh food and sources of high-quality protein are notoriously expensive and difficult to procure for the food pantry system. The Harding Ranch continues to step up to ensure local anti-hunger organizations have access to fresh protein in the form of ground product and beef sticks for weekend backpack programs for children in their community. This is a hunger solution to a Wyoming challenge and I thank them for joining the fight!

Harding Ranch is proud to be an NHTC ranch and IMI Global Verified.
